I am looking for an ebony fingerboard with some gray & white streaking in it. Am I better off going with a lower grade ebony FB or Macassar fingerboard? Mac ebony colors tend to be variations of straw or faint pinkish backgrounds. Ultimately, the aesthetic decision is yours alone. Prospect photos take a lot of shop time, but if you have a photo of what you are looking for we can better help match your need to the wood. We have a few hundred board feet of mac ebony reserved to mill fingerbaords from.
